Mary Jackson (born 1945, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) is an African American fiber artist. She is married to Stoney Jackson. A descendent of the Gullah community of coastal South Carolina, she works in Charleston, South Carolina.〔("Threads of Genius" ), ''Charleston City Paper'', John Stoehr, October 01, 2008〕 She began producing baskets full-time in 1980, creating contemporary designs with traditional techniques.
